ERC Health Academy
Video: Employees benefit from using the ERC Health Academy
What is the ERC Health Academy?
The ERC Health Academy is the health management component exclusive to ERC Health. This is a direct, work-site health education and screening program. The program is designed to achieve both immediate and long-term savings through changing the awareness, attitudes - and ultimately, the health - of the employee population. Through this convenient, personal approach, the employer's commitment to health and safety is clear and visible, adding to workplace morale and productivity.
What are the components of the Health Academy?
- Annual Health Day - open to enrolled employees, which includes a health risk appraisal, blood pressure, weight and body fat screening, BMI and a confidential health consultation
- Health Education - includes monthly employer-ready health materials and a quarterly newsletter on health and wellness topics
- Behavior change programs
As we work with your organization to build your employee health program over the ensuing years, consider activities in the following areas:
"We use ERC Health to help contain our medical costs as well as help our employees be more involved in their health care. They like the free health facilities and the programs for the different health issues. Quite a number of our employees have quit smoking as well.
During our health day last year we had an employee whose blood pressure was so high they recommended they go the emergency room. ERC Health then followed up with their family doctor who said that probably saved their life."
