This program is currently available to organizations with 2 to 50 employees based in any of the 22 counties that comprise Northeast Ohio. ERC Health provides small businesses with affordable health insurance options including HSA’s backed by outstanding service and access to all Northeast Ohio health systems. Plus, ERC membership provides a robust suite of HR and workplace related services, programs and cost savings.

Companies that enroll in the ERC Small Business Health Alliance are like-minded small businesses working together for affordable health insurance. Each small business agrees to participate in the Health Management programs that ERC Health has specially designed to improve the health of employees. This helps keep insurance as affordable as possible. The claims experience of Alliance members is pooled and used to determine rates. Favorable experience means lower rates for members.

The ERC Health Management program has a positive effect on the lives of employees and their families. Companies report reduced healthcare costs, workers’ compensation expenses, and absenteeism. It’s a fact: healthier employees mean a better workforce.

Risk Assessment
The program starts with an online Heath Risk Assessment. A brief survey, the assessment asks about health habits, preventive care and readiness to change. Each employee receives a personalized report detailing his or her health risks and suggestions for risk reduction strategies.

One-on-One Health Coaching
Employees are able to lose weight, stop smoking, reduce stress, improve their eating habits, and get fit with the support of a personal coach dedicated to helping them make lifestyle changes. Coaches can be reached with a toll-free phone call or online.

Regular Communication
Employee progress is reinforced with access to online health programs and a newsletter mailed directly to employees homes so the entire household is health-aware. Companies have access to monthly SMART Health SM employer resource kits, an online set of materials designed to promote health at the workplace.

Safe and Secure
Information in the Health Risk Assessment is securely stored and treated confidentially. No individually identifiable information is ever released without the permission of the employee.

Help Keep Rates as Low as Possible
Employees completing an annual Health Risk Assessment allows companies that are ERC Health Alliance members to qualify for the special ERC health plans and rates.
